Last night we took the boys bowling, for their first time! We all had so much fun! Gavyn is such a natural at just about anything he tries to do. He got an 81, and Teagyn had a 65. Awesome for their first times! :)

Today we are going to Tim's Mom's for dinner today, cant wait! Have a great Sunday!

Not sure if there is anyone out there to read this anymore, since I have been on such a long hiatus. But, I miss blogging. So.... here I go again! :)

We had a wonderful BUSY summer. Tim and I think that it is the busiest summer we have ever had together, well besides the summer we planned our wedding AND built our house LOL! We had weddings, the boys are just plain active, cookouts with friends, bonfires, camping, stayed at a cottage up north for a week in August, and spent a lot of time with our families; It was just an awesome! And now it is the middle of October already! I love fall, it is my favorite time of the year!

Tim is home now, we are selling of the semi and trailers- getting out of it. Long story short, it is just not where Tim needs/wants to be and that became clear to him on his last trip out west. I have missed him so much over the past year but, I just looked at it like it was something we had to do so I could finish school. And now we are putting back together our lives as they should be. The little things eating dinner together, and tucking the boys in bed and saying prayers together. Gavyn & Teagyn love it to say the very least!

School for me is going well. I am taking Anatomy & Physiology right now, it's a little tough but I like that I am actually learning things that pertain to my nursing degree. I am thinking of taking a full load next semester with Microbiology and A&P II. It makes me very nervous, but then I would be DONE with all of my prereq's. Leaving me June-Nov. with not having to take any classes until I get into the nursing program next fall. Hmmmm, I have a little time to think on it.

Gavyn is doing so good in school, he loves his teacher, as do I! She is assertive & amazing! Gavyn however, is just that kid that would rather be outside than in school. He already (at 4) tells me 'I don't want to go to school today' LOL! He never puts up a fight, just has to give us his opinion. He rides the bus in the mornings and secretly loves that!

Teagyn is in 3school 2 days a week 1/2 days and loves it too. I think we are over the crying hump now. Actually he did very well, no tears at all for the first 4 weeks, and then they had a practice fire drill. That alarm must have scared him really bad. Poor peanut! But this week he made progress, so I hope he is over it.

Maddie loves school with all of her might! She is doing gymnastics again, and moves and twists her body in ways I could never dream of. I hope she sticks with it, because she has so much to give to it. She is a passionate girl when she loves something. We still see about as often as before, not enough!!! It sucks, and we long for the days when she is older and makes her own decisions.

Present day, Tim and the boys are at our friends barn looking at the cows. Boy bonding time I guess you could say. I was 'invited' to go along, but as you can see I did not go, hehe! Maddie is coming over this afternoon, I am working 5-11 tonight. But, it is the weekend and I got to sleep in thanks to my wonderful husband! Tomorrow we are taking the kids to get pumpkins to carve. I love it! Brings back so many memories from when I was a kid.

Speaking of Halloween, I took the boys to get their costumes last week. Gavyn is going to be a Motocross guy, and Teagyn is going to be the cutest Clifford the dog you have ever seen. It is a big red fuzzy, warm costume. And so cute!

Mother's Day

I have a few minutes this morning to blog, so I thought I would jump on it! Tim and Teagyn are sleeping in and Gavyn and I are waking up, watching cartoons and having coffee (yes, Gavyn too!) I know, it is not good for them at his age...but every once in awhile is okay, right?! He is just like me in more ways than one! LOL! I had a wonderful Mothers day, I woke up to a table full of flowers and cards. Gavyn andc Teagyn both got me Lilly's and Tim bought me a beautiful hanging basket. They each picked out their own and their cards for me! So precious! Tim went above and beyond to feel special yesterday! Later that morning, we went to Tim's Mom's and had dinner with her and her boyfriend (who we LOVE), Sam. And later in the afternoon my Mom, Grandma, and brother came over to our house. And, just before 8.......Maddie called "to wish me a Happy Mother's day"! I fought back tears! To think a year ago, we had not seen her for a few years and now she thought to call ME on Mothers Day! That meant the world to me.

My brother also brought his dirt bikes over, and Tim flipped it, of course! Just when he has been going to the chiropractor for the last month and finally getting his back problems straightened out, he does that! Uhg, men I tell ya. He's okay, just sore! And is going back to the Chiro this morning....we will see what he thinks about him doing that, lol!

Last week, I finally broke and let Gavyn get a couple gold fish at the store. He has wanted them for some time, but I was just not ready to take care of them- MYSELF! Haha! So we had a fish bowl and net from "Johnathon" -who was Maddie's fish when she was little. So, all we need were some rocks. I am surprised at how well Gavyn is taking care of them, he feeds them -the right amount- without my even asking. He is growing up waaayy to fast.

Tonight Gavyn has soccer, Tim will most likely leave Tuesday morning and I start my summer class on Thursday! I am not ready to go back to it just yet, I have enjoyed these 2 weeks off immensely! I will have lecture two days a week for three hours! Ugh, that seems like such a long time! I am however, a little excited to be in-seat for this class. I have taken on-line classes for the past few semesters, so this will be a good change!

I hope that all of you mothers had a wonderful Mothers day like I did!

....been way to long, life has just happened, lol!

I think about 4 months have past since I have blogged, so much has happened in that short amount of time. To fill you in briefly... I have finished up another semester on this journey towards nursing school. Anthropology, which I loved, I got an A+ in. And Psychology (liked, but a tough class/instructor) I finished with a B. Not to shabby! I am taking Philosophy this summer semester for about 8 weeks and then I have 2 months off. I believe that I will get into the program fall of 11, I am getting there, after summer semester I only have 3 classes left to take, and then just to wait on that waiting list!

Tim is good, not loving his job by any means. It is tough having him gone all week, for all of us. Today, I am working on a resume for him to try and find something more local for him. With the economy it's hard to say if that is possible, but I am going to try!

Gavyn is playing soccer on Monday nights....SO stinkin' cute I can hardly stand it. Tim has stayed home Mondays to watch him too, that has been nice. Tim has been practicing with him quite a bit, and I think we are both surprised at how good he is. There is a fall soccer team too, so if he likes it, we will do that too. Teagyn loves to watch the games; although, he usually is running around with his cousin more than anything- fine by me.....exert that energy! LOL! Needless to say they both sleep like rocks on Monday nights.

Gavyn and Teagyn are both going to preschool this fall- something that I can hardly believe. Gavyn will be in 4 school, and Teagyn in 3 school. Both boys will have a friend that they know in their classes, so they are getting really excited!! Life is defiantly changing. Change is good though! :) Maddie is good. The situation has not changed, we have a very limited relationship with her, and it is heart breaking....but it is also out of our control, so, we continue to pray for things to be different!!
I am going to try to be a little better about staying connected to this blog world! I miss catching up on all of your too! Here are some pics......

Tomorrow I am going to take my finals, finally! I just want to get them done and outta the way! Only to probably wait for a week to get my grade but at least I can stop studying! UGH!
On a lighter note all of my shopping is done, a few little things to do yet, but for the most part...DONE! :) I have yet to wrap a thing! So I will start that this week too! I have some new pictures to post but, I need to get to sleep and get as much rest as I can b/f these exams tomorrow!

But with the holidays coming, I will try to stay up to date on this more! ;) I only have about 3 weeks left of classes this semester, and then I will have 3.5 weeks off! YES! I have struggled immensely~ Chemistry is like a foreign language to me!! It has consumed me, over the last 3 months! UGH! But the end is in sight!
Catching up....Gavyn Jay is turning 4 next weekend, Tim and I are still trying to grasp that! It is CRAZY! Time sure does fly! Teagyn is moving right along! He is very advanced, he can count to 10...Gavyn only has the attn span to count to 5, lol! (he gets that from his dad ;) Maddie is growing heartbreakingly fast. She is keeping busy with her gymnastics, and school. She loves gymnastics, and I hope that she sticks with it. Tim is busy, busy with work. Mostly making deliveries in and out of Canada. We are thankful for that!!
I plan on getting out some of the Christmas decorations this week, and we are going to cut down our tree next weekend! I LOVE this time of year!!! I hope- and I cannot believe that I am saying this, but I hope that we get some snow soon....I have enjoyed this weather a lot, but cannot imagine getting the tree in 50 degree weather!

Life has defiantly gotten in the way of my blogging hobby, lol! So much has happened in the last month! Tim lost his job…and has a new career! We continue to see Maddie, it is a very complicated situation, to say the least, and unfortunatly we do not see her very often at this time because of that. But, I hope that it will all change with some time! We all miss her so very much when she is not here! But our relationship with her has become so deep, with all of us! It is amazing- she is a very unique little lady! God sent her with a purpose, there is no doubt about that! ;) She is as computer savvy as I am – if not more, so we email back and forth too! Mads is amazing at gymnastics, se makes me hurt just watching some of the things she can do. She just started up Gymnastics this week and moved up to the next step. So she is doing 2 hrs a week. I am excited to watch her! The boys are getting so big! Gavyn’s vocabulary has gotten so big in the past few weeks, he just cracks me up everyday. And, I do believe that he is moving out of terrible 2’s. I realize that he is almost 4, but his have lasted this long!!!!! :) Teagyn on the other hand, my sweet innocent little boy…..has just begun his “terrible 2’s” look out! This boy can throw a fit. And is just as rough and tumble as his brother! Those 2 fight like nobody’s business! It drives me nuts! Some days I get so sick of hearing my own voice yelling at them all day, I could put them to bed at 6! Haha, not really but there are days!! ;)

What else….I have started yet another semester of school as of last Monday! I studied all summer to try and test out of chemistry, with no luck! The test was so much more in depth than my capabilities, even with the countless hours I spent studying! UGH! I was very frustrated!!! To the point where I was wondering if this is really what God has planned for me! But, I am back on track now…..I am taking Chemistry Lab @ MCC, and the Lecture on line, and a Yoga class as well (required for my major-dumb, I know)! So between all of that and my little man (Gav) starting preschool next week. We are going to have a very busy fall! Not to mention Tim!!

Ahhh, Tim! About a month ago Tim lost his job- co. went bankrupt! It was somewhat of a shock, we knew that they were not doing good, but did not expect it so soon! So Tim being the most determined man I know- went out and found a job, not only a job – he bought a semi, and is now an owner- operator for a company out of Hastings! He will mostly be doing runs south for pick ups and then into Canada! Gone Monday through Friday most weeks! But, he will be home every weekend! That is a plus!! It is going to be a major change for all of us. I my self will be fine, I think….I am going to be so busy this fall with work, school, the boys, Gavyn and his school stuff! But I worry about the boys!! They are going to miss their Daddy especially at bed time! We are going to have to set up a new routine! It is manageable- just a sacrifice! He just has to do this over the road type thing for a yr or two, to get some experience and then hopefully he can find something a little more local! Life, is good! A friend of mine just said to me the other day “life is an up hill battle” and that is so true! But, there is always a good side to it too! For me having lost my brother….I just know that I CANNOT focus on the bad side of something/things it can be so consuming! You never know how long you have here on this connecting path to a much richer life! So, you have to just take it a day at a time, have fun, and enjoy it!!!

So, this weekend we are taking the boys up to Pentwater camping! I have the camper all packed, homework all done, and the we are all so excited! Kari (Maddie’s Mom) is bringing Maddie up on Saturday to spend the rest of the weekend with us too! I am looking forward to a relaxing beautiful weekend!

On Thursday we had Teague’s birthday party! He had so much fun. maddie came over early to help decorate the house. She did a good job. I love having a helper- she is so good at that! ;) The house looked so good, and we did it while he was taking a nap, so when he woke up he had the biggest smile on his face!!!

Maddie was so sweet, she asked her mom to take her to the bank to cash in her change to go and buy Teagyn a birthday gift- she spent her life savings, Kari (her mom) said to me, “she is a gem” and that is so perfectly said- she is a very special little girl!

Last night I was looking through old pictures on the desk top- they go all the way back to just after Gavyn was born…..I got so choked up looking back at how much these two boys have grown the past few years! It is truly a blessing to have such amazing, healthy, happy, children! I cannot imagine my life without Gavyn, Teagyn, and Maddie!

So this is the LAST 2 year old party we will EVER have! We are content with what we have, so I am going to soak up every “last” last we have with Teagyn, and just enjoy it!

Tonight is the first night that Tim has spent with his little girl a 4 years! These 2 are loving it! We all are! The boys would not go to sleep tonight. Bedtime is never very fun around here, but tonight their big sister was here, and they wanted nothing to do with going to bed! :( So Tim and Maddie popped popcorn, and watched a movie! This picture speaks a thousand words to me! To see them both so happy is beyond my greatest words!

My baby! My last baby, is sleeping in a big boy bed! It is completely heartbreaking! I cannot believe how much he has grown in the last few months! He is so much fun! I love this age!

I probably would not have done this so soon, at least until he turns 2, but we have made a few changes on account of miss Maddie! :) We wanted to get Maddie's room set back up for her, so I had to disassemble the toy room- which is now her room! I took out 4, yes 4 bags of toys for a garage sale, which I am having next week. and one bag of garbage! So I decided to just take Teagyn's bed down and move the bottom bunk over for Teagyn, so I could fit all of their toys and TV in their room!

When we put Gavyn in a bed, it was a nightmare for weeks! I was expecting the same this time! But, I should have known- Teague is such an easy going, whatever kid (just like his mom :) he goes right to sleep even at naps. No fits, rarely does he even get out of bed!!! I bought a baby gate to put in the door way, so he cannot get up in the night. And, Gav can crawl over it if he has to go to the bathroom in the night, so it works out great!

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend, although tomorrow I think it is going to rain! I might take Gavyn to see that new movie- UP, I think it is called, we will see.

So here are the pictures, finally! I cannot even begin to explain how this has changed our lives! Maddie is such an amazing little girl. She has grow so much. Tim went and picked her up from her Mom's house last week. The boys and I were on egg shells, we could not wait to see/meet her! When they pulled in I literally hung on to the chair in the garage, I wanted to run to her and give her a hug, but I did not want her to feel out of place, scared, I was just so nervous. I figured I would just stand back to see her reaction. But she blew me away, I could see her struggling to get her seat belt off, she got out of the truck so fast and ran to he and gave the biggest hug- I could not hold myself together- I lost it. She was so big and beautiful! I did not expect her to do that. It was heaven. Then she looked immediately at the boys, and said awwww, you guys are so cute! :) The rest is history it was like she had here with us all of those years we lost! She rode the golf cart with Tim and the boys, played ball with Tim and Gavyn. We grilled burgers, so much fun. After all of that we went over to our friends Billy & Heidi's. Their daughter (Maddie) and our Maddie were really good friends but, have not seen each other in a few years. Maddie (B & H's) was inside out from the moment she found out that Tim had talked to Maddie- she was already planning sleepovers. :) Maddie told us that she missed Maddie too and wanted to see her, so we headed over there. Our Maddie was a little shy at first- overwhelmed probably. But within all of 2 minutes they were giggling and jumping on the tramp. It was a lot of fun for all of us.

Maddie cam over this week too for an evening, and she had really come out of her shell. I think she is feeling more and more comfortable. The boys just love her, beyond words! Maddie too! We are so blessed to have her be apart of our lives.

Memorial Day....

Well, Monday started off with Tim taking Gavyn fishing- they wanted me to go and take Teagyn- but I passed! I really do like to fish, but Teagyn would make things a little chaotic yet, I think. When he gets older, we can participate. So as you can see he caught a big bass! He was so proud! Tim said that he had 2 others on his line, but couldn't get them up quick enough. He always catches fish when he goes out! :) Later in the evening we went over to my mother in laws for a cookout with my sister in law and niece, and my SIL "friend". It was so nice to have him at diner- he is a really nice guy! (I am excited for Betsy) :) We ate outside, it was so nice. I am loving this weather!!! So, we got the boys in the truck, all ready to head home, it was almost 9:00. Tim's voicemail was ringing......it was a call that Tim nor I thought we would ever get! It was his daughter- whom we have not seen in almost 4 years! Tim talked to her and her Mom on the phone for quite awhile....long story short. Maddie wants to see us, meet her brothers, and who knows.....the future is so bright, Tim is COMPLETE! He has always been missing a piece of his heart without his daughter in his life. I know that he finally feels whole again! I am so happy! He went last night and took her for ice cream just to kind of break the ice. They had fun! To say the least. I think that she is coming over this weekend to see us :) Can't wait! I am sure that I will have some pics. I am so excited & nervous! So here are the pics of Gavyn's fish.

We had such a good Memorial Day weekend! Friday night we went to my brother's graduation. I, we, are all so proud of him. I cannot believe that he is actually out of school!

Grandma & Mike...Saturday we had a cookout and bonfire at our friends Billy & Heidi's with the kiddo's. The weather was beautiful, we had such a good time. On Sunday they all came over here with some other friends for another cookout- good times!

So this morning, the boys and I went and ran a few errands, on the way home I stopped at Meijer gas station on Riley. I just left the boys in the Jeep as I was only running in for a second. Picture this....I am standing at the checkout, there are 2 guys behind the counter and one says, "OH MY GOSH, LOOK AT THIS!" As I look up out the window, there is my son (Gavyn- of course) with his pants down to his ankles in the middle if the gas station parking lot PEEING! Everyone was laughing hysterically!!! I had not payed yet, but said I would be right back! I got out there just as he was finishing up his business (everyone in the parking lot was laughing as well :), and asked him what he was doing, he said,"I had to go pee really bad mommy- it's okay the sun will dry up my pee, won't it?" I have NEVER been so mortified and laughed so hard at the same time (well, except when he did this same thing in the middle of Sea World)! Ahhhh, he is SUCH a boy! I love it!

Summer is finally here, I hope! I had to work Tues & Wed. this week so I missed out on the beautiful weather. But, today was so nice! I don't have to work until next Tuesday! I am so excited to have a long weekend- with home too! :) Normally we go camping on Memorial weekend, but this year my little -not so little- brother is graduating from high school on Friday! I cannot believe that he is that old. It seems like yesterday that I was carrying him all around the house and pulling him in the wagon. Crazy how fast time flys! We are going to grill out with friends Sat. and Sunday, and have bonfires! I love this time of year. Roast some marshmallows, mmmmm!

We need to get our garden planted too. Tim is actually out rotatilling (or however you spell that) right now! So we will probably do that tomorrow. We are planting: green peppers, watermelons, pumpkins (later), lettuce, green beans, something else- can't remember. They are going to be sooo good. I love fresh veggies!

Yesterday turned out to be a nice day! Perfect for Tulip Time! Maddie, Jayci, Gavyn, and Teagyn had a blast! It was a little busy, so we didn't stand in line for the petting zoo thing. But there was so much to do, that I don't think the kids really noticed! Gavyn held this HUGE snake! He is so brave. I could not believe that he did it! The guy asked him if he wanted to touch it, Gavyn looked at him like he was crazy, and asked him to put it on his neck! It was so funny! No fear!

Today is such a beautiful day! I am sad that I have to go to work, but I had to trade with a girl for last Tues. so I could take my English final. So I am working until 1 this morning! I am going to be tired! Tim took us all for a long golf cart ride this morning through some trails around here. It is so nice to smell spring in the air, literally! I long for the warmth of summer! I cannot stand to be cold! :) Anyways, here are the pics from yesterday. Check out the size of that snake!!!!

I am finally done with this semester! Sigh! Boy was it ever a long, tough semester! On the flip side, I got an A- on my final (research paper) in my English class! I was shocked, but worked SO hard on it that I was pleased as well -to say the least! My final grade for math, which I will be the first to admit that I SUCK at, was a B. I will accept that with bells on! :) So I actually had a great semester, overall. All of my hard work payed off! :)

I have a few weeks off, then my summer semester starts up. I am not looking forward to taking classes in the summer, but I want to get this done! So I am going year round! Like it or lump it, right?!

We are all happy to be able to spend a little time outside in the "warm" weather! The sunshine feels wonderful! Both of the boys would live outside, if I let them! Teagyn will go to the door, put his Crocs on, and say "outside, Mommy!" He is such a hunny! Gavyn is looking forward to starting school this fall- he talks about it every day since we went to the school to check it out!

What else..... Well, we decided to list our house with a realtor. So, Tim and I have been working hard at getting the house in tip-top shape: patching dents in walls, we rearranged the living room, I spot cleaned the carpets (which now look AMAZING), cleaned the basement, I even mopped the floor in the kitchen on my hands and knees! Now the thing is maintaining how clean it is in case we have a showing! Tough, considering the boys are like tornado's on a daily basis! LOL! When I cleaned the basement I actually "went through" everything as I was putting it into tubs and was surprised how much -stuff- I/we have accumulated. So, i am having a garage sale in a few weeks. I have not ever had one before so I am sure that I have my work cut out for me! Up until the night before last, I have not had any reservations about moving, but last night I kind of had a few tears thinking about some things I will miss, and a particular situation that Tim nor I have any control over, but will be leaving here with that left...undone, for lack of better words!

Funny thing though.... as I walked into the break room at work this morning to put my lunch in the fridge, the TV had the weather station on broadcasting the 80+ temps in Florida. Oh, how I will love living in that climate pretty much year 'round! My stipulations for our new home in Fl, I have told Tim is: a pool, and a palm tree IN our yard. :) I am not asking for much, am I!? :) Really homes are just about standard with pools down there, so it is not an expense like it is here!

Anyways, here are some pics Easter and Tim's birthday! Hope you have a good weekend. Tomorrow my friend Heidi and I taking the kids downtown to Kinderplatts at Tulip Time. They have firetrucks, face painting, a little animal petting area, and games set up for the kids. And, of course the good junk food! Yum! Since we got home, things have been so busy. I am rounding down my semester with school. Yeah. I am doing pretty well this semester, much to my surprise! I am taking Math and English this semester. English is okay, but Math kicks my butt- always has! I have a final this Saturday for English and a final next Tuesday for Math then I have a few weeks off until summer semester starts. It will be nice to have that time to get some things done around here!

This past week we took Gavyn to check out his preschool. He will be starting 3 school this fall. He is really excited about that! Tim has been keeping busy with work, and Teagyn is talking like a 3 yr old. Some of the things he says amazes us! He learns so much from Gavyn, No doubt!

Another big thing going on.....Since we got home from Florida Tim and I have been talking about putting our house up for sale, and moving to Florida! It is a huge decision. But there are so many opportunities there for us! I have been researching a ton, school districts and such! We will stay in my grandmas house (just outside of Orlando) at first. While we look with a realtor in the areas we are interested in. The job prospects fro me after school are endless. Tim will probably find a job driving truck, once we get there. The kicker will be selling our house. We met with Realtor the other night and they gave us the market value of our home. We were surprised that we actually had equity in it! So, hopefully we get enough out of it to have a nice down payment on a home down there! We are the only home with all of criteria in the Zeeland school district, so they told us that that is a good sign. We will just have to play the waiting game for now!

We made it. It was a long trip with the boys, this time. We usually leave at night and drive thru the night, but this time we left in the am, which mad for a very long day for all of us. Stopped just south of Macon GA last night and got here around 3 this afternoon. The boys are exhausted! However, we still took them out for a boat drive tonight and we say TWO gators already. Gav loved that. Tonight at bed Gavyn started crying and said that he jsut wanted to go home. Can u believe that? I was shocked, he has waited for months to get here, and now this. Finally he said to me that he misses the dogs, and wanted to go home for them, isn't that sweet?

The weather isn't going to be that warm next week from the looks of it, bummer. Still 60's, but

darnit I wanted a tan, lol.

Anyways, here are some pics. I LOVE my new laptop, this is awesome to be on vacation and still have this convience. Everyone is asleep and I need to get there too. Oh, and Rachel, I am over the 'flu', lol! Funny b/c I contemplated the same thing after it had been 4 days, but no thank goodness this is not a good time with school!!!!

Getting Ready to go....

It has been a long time since I have been here.....busyness has consumed me! And my entire family. We are leaving in the morning (Thurs.) for sunny Florida. Gavyn is so excited! I am too, but have some how managed to come down with a mild flu for the past tree days and I cannot seem to shake it! I am hoping that tomorrow morning when I wake up the nausea is gone!

Nothing much new going on. I turned the big 3-0 a few weeks ago. So I have gotten older, lol! I am finished with my orientation at work. I LOVE my new job! It is such a rewarding job. I have stood in on a few things that have definitely confirmed that working in the ER as a nurse is probably where I will stay! I can't wait to be done with school! Speaking of school, I am getting to the end of this semester! Finally! 3 weeks left I think?! It is a tough semester! i am taking summer classes too so not much a break! Tim is staying busy with work right now, lets hope that continues!

Tim has a fit when he/I does/do those things! :) I think it is funny. Tim will say, "If he grows up to be gay...it's going to be your fault." I just laugh!

A little background on this video. As long as I have known Tim he has picked on me about being from Hastings, and "growing up in a corn field." Obviously I did NOT grow up in a corn field; however, Hastings is nothing like Holland. There is a fair amount of poverty there, and fields- lots of them. It IS kind of a hick town (hence why I chose to move ;). So anyways, Tim has 'brainwashed' our son with a few statements over the past few years and now he will just randomly say things to me like, "Mom, your from Haystings- you grew up in a cown field." Notice the way I spelled that, That is how he says it! He thinks that it is hilarious to pick me as well! To add to that, last winter while on my way to drop the boys off at Julies, before work, the boys and I went flying off the road into a ditch and almost flipped my jeep- thank God for the pine tree that crushed the side of my jeep and stopped it from rolling- the roads were terrible that day, I don't believe it was my fault, in fact I was NOT cited for the accident. I apparently let out a scream and told Gavyn to brace himself (Teagyn was only about 3 months old). So as you will hear in this video when Tim asks him what mom's jeep says he will say,"AAAAHHHH, Don't go in the ditch!"

I am truly outnumbered by boys- who love to pick on me! :0)

This past week has been really tough for Tim, with this whole job thing! Today he went to meet with his boss @ JP. He ended up talking with Jamie for a few hours. When he got home he was just torn as to what he should do; do the trucking thing, or stay in his comfort zone with JP. He has so much vested in that company, besides having worked there for 8 years, he has something like 3 weeks of vacation, he is 2nd in line- seniority wise, and has a really good boss. Jamie is a good man, and Tim has a lot of respect for him. I don't think he had whole heartedly made up his mind when he went there today, but when he left he had NO idea what to do!

The number one thing stopping him is the part about being away from the boys and I for sometimes 5 days! That is a long time, no doubt about that! This is tearing him up! He is very much a home body. I have to pry him to go out to dinner and get a sitter. He would just rather be home with the boys! So I couldn't imagine the stress he was under trying to decide if that was a sacrifice he was willing to make!

Tonight I was cutting my Mom's hair, Tim and Gav were sitting in the kitchen, Tim asked Gavyn if he would rather have daddy be out driving in a big truck, and be gone a few nights a week, or stay working outside and be home every night. Much to our surprise, he said in the sweetest little voice, "I want you to be home Daddy, I missed you last week!" Tim left for 3 days last week to go on the road with a guy to drive and see what he thought of the whole thing. That impacted Gavyn more than either of us knew. Mind made up!!!! After his talk with Jamie and Gav wanting his daddy home, Tim has decided to stay with JP! I know that he is making the right decision. I just hope that the economy holds steady enough to get through these next few years until I am done with school!

I, myself got some good news today! With all of the schedule changes at the hospital, there ended up being an open shift. So, the techs have been shuffling around into one anothers positions. Well, last week I got an e-mail that there was an internal posting for a 7a-7p and a few 7-3s, part time. I applied for it, and today I got the job!!! Yeah! Working in Triage, where I took my new position, is not what I remembered it to be. I have decided that I like to pick up shifts out there, but not have it as a job. So in a few weeks I will start that. A major bonus is that it is every 3rd weekend, instead of every other!! I am so excited!

I have a cute pic of Teague last night after their bath! His hair is crazy! There is still nothing better than the smell of my baby's when they get out of the bathtub! I think that smell is one that a mother never forgets, no matter how old they get. :)

A day in the life of a Trucker...

So I think that I have mentioned that some changes have been upon us around here! I started working days this past week, and the boys did much better than I had expected. Gavyn is SUCH a morning person just like his Dad, so I really had no worries about him. Teagyn, on the other hand, is much like me--NOT a morning person! He normally does not wake up until about 9:30, so you can about imagine how 5:45 hits him is the face like a ton of bricks! Tuesday morning went okay, but Wednesday morning he was so crabby. I decided I wanted to get my mornings organized, so I had the coffee maker set, their bag packed, sippy's in the fridge with their milk, my lunch packed, and a Pop Tart on the counter to grab on my way out for the boys, I was all set! Teagyn had laid eyes on that Pop Tart b/f I was ready to get out the door and all heck broke loose! I have not seen him throw such a fit b/f! When we finally got in the Jeep I tried to give it to him and he rolled, yes rolled, his eyes at me, and swatted at my hand! Oh my goodness! I was shocked! Mornings are going to be rough with him I think, Hopefully he gets used to it! To top off this whole shocker of a job change, Tim was gone a good part of the week last week trying out a new job prospect!
The construction industry as you all know is about as unstable as it can get! Tim has not been making near the amount of money he was miking a few years ago, and with my hours being cut at work, we needed to do something. We were and still are contemplating selling our house - not too sure what will come of that- thought of moving to Florida, but not sure enough to do it (I think that economy is just as bad there as it is here)! So, while Tim has been on lay off he made his time productive! He went through all of the training and testing for his CDL. He finally found a company to take a chance on his inexperience, and just decided today to leave JP after nearly 8 years to go over the road and drive a truck! The sacrifices will be huge! But, the money is good, and the potential is amazing! I had no idea how much these guys make in a year! It is hard work though and it takes away from family time! But, I have 5 years and I will be done with school. By then he will have a lot of experience under his belt, and can look at something a little more local. I think that this decision has all but torn Tim in 2! He really struggled as to what to do! In the end I think he decided to turn it over to God last night. Sleep on it- and make a decision this morning! Decision making is never easy with him anyway (lol), but I think that he is making a good one! I will keep you updated on how this thing goes! Some prayers for him to get into this thing and be comfortable, and for safe driving would be ever so appreciated! ;)

I don't have too much time this morning, I have to get to work but I wanted to post a few pics from this past week/end. I took Gavyn to the Aquatic Center last Saturday with my friend Heidi and her girls. They had so much fun.

On Sunday we went to my Mom's house and Gavyn had a run in, literally, with the pool table. This boy is so accident prone, it is not even funny :)

These past few weeks have been very stressful! The hospital let go of all the LPNs that I work with! It is a long story. To sum it up, I think they mainly did it to save money! That in turn made them re-vamp the entire emergency dept.! Ugh! Changes, and a lot of them. It was a very unpleasant place for everyone since they made the announcement! They took all of our jobs away put them on paper and said bid on these! You will be put into a position based on your seniority! Both the tech and the nursing staff! That big of a change is enough to send everyone in a tizzy! So, yesterday they posted our new schedules! I am going to days, and down to part time! 7-4. 7 AM that is, I am thinking oh my goodness how will I ever shake my bum out of bed that early?! I will have to leave here by 6 to get the boys off to Julie! I have some major transitions to make. This will all start in about 2 weeks! Working days is going to be awesome! I will be able to put the boys to bed every night! I am going to love that! Working part time is going to leave me so much more time to focus on school!

The boys and I bummed around here this morning! It is nice to be home this weekend. Tim, of course, was out plowing. :) I had a paper to write that is due on Sunday, so I took the boys over to my mother in laws and came home to a quiet house to get some homework done! Tim and I took advantage of being kid free and went to Crazy Horse for dinner. They were so busy, we had a 30+ min wait! But it was nice to unwind from all of the stress I have had between school and work related stuff!

Not too much else new here~ Sick of the snow! This is, I think, what some refer to as "the dead of winter." I am so sick of the cold and snow! So over it! We are going to FL in April and I am sooo looking forward to that!

As hard as it seems sometimes, I have come to the conclusion that you have to look forward; always, trust in God, believe that all things happen for a reason, and try to look past or through what is right in front of you.

I could blog about a lot right now! Some things are inevitably about to change around here but there isn't a thing that I can do about so.... I am going to chose to blog today about the good stuff going on!

Teagyn is getting so big! He is saying everything that Gavyn does, uh oh! His vocab is huge, much bigger than Gav's was at his age! His is so loving! He voluntarily walks up and gives us the biggest kisses! Teagyn is sharing a room with Gavyn now. This left his room open to have a much needed toy room. They have their TV in there and they often sit on their new little couches and watch Veggie Tales. We all love it!

Gavyn has had a lot of changes these past few weeks. He has decided that nap time is a thing of the past! He just stopped sleeping- keeping Teagyn awake in turn. So we had a "talk" about stopping nap time but still having a rest time; IE. movie or playing quietly for about an hour (For him and me, so I can get homework done). He has also started sleeping on his top bunk- no fear! All of this has eliminated our nightly fight at bed time with him! I think he is so exhausted that he just falls asleep. A huge plus!

Tim is layed of for a few weeks. Everything is so uncertain at this point for both of us. It is very disturbing, to say the least! When I know more of what is going on with us... I will fill you in.

We must lead a very exciting life. Because one of our nights recently consisted of us all wearing Mr. Potato Head's glasses. Here are some funny pics! Tim would absolutely kill me if he knew I put this on here! :) Hehe, I love it!

Busy life!

Right now I feel like our lives are soo busy! Between: the boys, working, school, tim plowing, laundry, dinner, blah blah blah! It seems endless right now! That being said! We manage it! I have no idea how but we do! I guess that says a lot about our marriage! It is a strong bond, and I am so thankful for that! This semester is going to kick my butt! This Math class that I am taking is so hard for me! I was awful at math in high school. I have now been out of school for 11 years! Some of it is coming back to me, slowly! I will get it; in time.

The boys seem to be growing at rapid paces right now. Gavyn is finally becoming much more enjoyable- doesn't that sound awful?!? Let me explain, I think it is a 3yr old thing. He and I and Tim too for that matter are,,,, well it is a power struggle. You want me to go to bed? Than I am going to stay up and play in my bed until 11:00. Or, throwing a fit, and I do mean a fit, because I have put fleece pants on him and NOT jeans! These all seem so petty to me/us, but to him he wants a say. I get that but it is so easy for me to get caught up in the "your not listening to me" kind of attitude. So, I do believe that we are making leaps and bounds with him!

Teagyn is running! This is so cute to see him and Gav running, chasing, each other around the island! He is talking in 3 word sentences, already. He counts to 4. Random (I think he is so advanced b/c of Gavyn). I love this age, I wish I could stop time Right here!

Tim took a voluntary layoff for a few weeks. He has been plowing around the clock these past few weeks! I think he is getting burned out (as he is snoring to beat the band on the couch behind me , as I type. lol). I like having him home in the mornings, it is just so different. I thought I may not care for it so much b/c the boys and I have such a routine in the mornings. But, he has been plowing so much that I have not seen a whole lot of him lately.

I worked mon. tues. and wed. this week. now I am off until next wed. I love that about working 12 hr shifts! My Mom closed on her new house today so we will be helping her move this weekend. In the frigid cold! Ugh! It is going to be rough!

We have Tim's work Christmas party this Friday. Should be fun. That is the last of the Christmas parties! So.... that means that all of the snow can go away and Spring should move on in! :) I am so ready to get our suits out and take the boat out!!!! Keep dreamin' Brandi! :)

My Dad came down and stayed the weekend with us to help Tim install a new pellet burner we got for heating our house. Which by the way is really cool. Our house is warmer than ever. I am always cold so having it 72-73 degrees is awesome! Without the expense of propane! Gavyn and Teagyn think that my Dad hung the moon! They love when he comes to stay! They popped popcorn and settled into the couch to watch Wall-E (such a cute movie).

Last night we had our Holland Hospital Christmas party at New Holland Brewery. It was a BLAST! We all had such a great time. EPI (The Docs) puts one on every year! There was a record turn out this year with something like 160 employees of the Emergency room! Here are just a few of us! (Carrie where were you????) I had some Berry Cider! Yum! If you go there you have to try it!

Only Marcia would be scratching off a lottery ticket! LOL!

Tim was a little apprehensive about going...but he had so much fun! He fits right in anywhere, I love that about him!

The best surprise EVER!

So this girl is Tara...

I was given the best surprise I could ever get tonight! You see Tara lives in New York! Her and I go way back to Cosmetology school. She was a nanny for a lady in Saugatuck, needed a change in her life from New York so she moved up here. We were both going to Chic and became inseparable form the first day on! For years. She was my Maid of Honor in our wedding . She got engaged to a boy here , bought a house. But there was always something missing for her! Her relationship was not the best, and having her family on the east coast was such a struggle for her! So eventually she ended up, ending things with her fiance' and returning home to New York. The day she left to drive back we met in the Family Fare parking lot, and said our tear filled goodbyes. It was heart wrenching! I have never been so close to someone and had to give that up! Not see her everyday! She flew back for our wedding, and we swore we would keep in touch! Alot happened in that first year of our marriage and we both lost touch. Years had passed and I started searching for her on line. I came across a care page that she had left a message on a year prior. I gave it a shot and e-mailed the address she left on that page! We have been talking on the phone and e-mailing ever since. tonight the boys and I were just hanging out at home waiting for Tim to get home. He walked in the door gave me a big hug and kiss, and told me that he had a big surprise for me. The next thing I knew Tara was walking through my front door! I could not believe my eyes! Oh the tears ;) They pulled it off! Tim is not good at this! ;)

Gavyn is feeding her, so sweet! I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it is to have her back in my life! To have a friend and not see or talk to in 4 years and be able to pick right back up where you left off...is amazing and a blessing from God! Love you Tara!

Another good thing to add to my day~ Heidi and I went to MCC this morning and 'officially' got on the ready list for the nursing program! Yeah!

So, Christmas was so good! We had such an awesome time with family! Teagyn was a riot unwrapping gifts! He was really in to it! Gavyn just couldn't wait to rip into them Christmas morning! He came running into our room shouting, "Santa was her, Santa was here". It was so cute! We finally had to go in and wake up Teague b/c Gavyn just could not take the suspense! Santa brought them both couches (the ones in the pics) the boys LOVE them!

There was a cadbury egg in Teagyn's stocking and he insisted on eating it! It was Christmas, I let it slide! ;)

Last but not least this pic is a little blurry, but that is our back yard....flooded. Yes it cam into the basement, AGAIN!! UGH! It was not so bad this time as the last but still a mess. Last time I went and bought totes for all of our "things" ie. JUNK. Anyways it is done. Tim had to go and rent a pump that is sitting in the back of his truck in that pic. That actually was the 2nd one he rented! $150 later! Not a fun day! Then I went out to my Jeep to run to the store on Sunday and oh, it wouldn't start! The battery was dead! Not chargeable, dead~another $100. What an expensive weekend!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This week is not my ideal week leading up to Christmas this is my 3 in a row week at work! Tim will be all by himself tomorrow night putting out the cookies and milk with Gavyn & Teague! :( I am bummed, but I do have an entire week off after that! Tonight was so S-L-O-W at work! That makes for a very long shift and I am sure that tomorrow will be about the same. Oh well it is holiday pay, lol!

So the presents are all wrapped and waiting -downstairs, hidden! Gavyn and Teague wouldn't leave them alone so I took most of them and put them out of sight! My presents are normally done with perfection! I did not embellish them this year. 1 for lac of time, and 2 Teagyn would have just ripped them all off. Bottom line is it is all done! I cannot wait to see their little faces Christmas morning! That is when all of the hard work of shopping pays off.

It is my hope that each of you have a wonderful Christmas! Remember the true reason, our Lord and Savior's birthday! Cherish your loves ones and have a wonderful time spending it with your family!

Let it snow...

OMGosh, I am completely overwhelmed by the amount of snow outside of my windows! Wow, this is by far the most snow at one time I think I can ever remember! I do love the look but he driving is about at a stand still for me! I am supposed to work tomorrow! YIKES! I was supposed to have a class @ the hospital, @ 7:30, not going to that! I will see about work! It all depends on the plow trucks! They have not even plowed our road since Friday!! It is virtually impassable right now! Tim just left the house to go out for his second round of plowing for the night! He called me sitting in the driveway, I was already watching him out the kitchen window! He was hesitant as to whether of not he should try to drive thru the 4 feet of snow in our driveway! He made it! At least tonight he was able to lay down and get a few hours of sleep after we got the boys in bed! But he was gone again by 11:30!

Last night we finally got to get out, just the two of us! It was so nice! I cannot remember the last time. It has been months! We went to Grandville. Red Lobster for dinner! Mmmm. It was delicious! And so was my cranberry and vodka! I don't drink very often, but I had been craving that drink for awhile! Then we went off to finish up the last few things for Christmas! It was FUN, just the two of us. No getting after the kids, or them screaming at the dinner table or saying "sit down" (this is our most famous line with Teagyn right now) just a peaceful dinner! Ahhh! The stressors that come along with this time of year just melted away! I have the best husband ever! ;)

Shout it out, actually! I am DONE with my classes! Yeah!!!!! I went today to take my last final exam! What a wonderful feeling! I have the next few weeks to just enjoy Christmas! And be with all of my boys! And family! I love the thought of that! NO homework or deadlines! For a whole month! And then they are just online classes for winter semester, so I can at least be home.

I just had to share my excitement with you! ;) I have pics to post, am feeling far to lazy to upload! Maybe tomorrow! C-ya soon!

The flu has struck!

So last Friday I came down with it. Teagyn started with the diarrhea on Wednesday! Gavyn started vomiting last night! I was at work, poor Tim had his hands full!! Gavyn called me at work to tell me that he was sick! It was so heart breaking! I wanted to come home so bad! But, Tim assured me that he had things under control! So I stuck it out! I got a prescription for the miracle "Magic butt cream" for Teagyn. He has such sensitive skin anyway and this has made his poor little bum just terrible! I feel so sorry for them! It is heart breaking when there isn't anything you can do make them better! That is what Mom's are supposed to do, right!?

I had taken today off from work for a family Christmas party in Hastings. Needless to say we are not going to that! I am bummed! I was so looking forward to seeing the Meek side of my family! What do you do! Teagyn is still not 100%, better but not himself! Gavyn is 100% better! He must have just had a 12 hour thing! I hope this is it for flu season for us! If Tim can get through this without getting it, it will be a miracle! :)

Today has turned into a day to get caught up on things around the house! Cleaning, hopefully I can get some presents wrapped and get Teagyn's blanket done. I bought fleece and am making the blankets that tie all the way around! Gavyn's turned out really good. I started and finished his all in one night, maybe about an hour and a half! I thought it would take much longer than that! This morning the boys and I worked on a project for the grandparents for their Christmas presents! (Can't tell you yet- my Mom will be reading this) ;)

I cannot believe that Christmas is only 12 days away! Wow! How time flys! Hope that your families can keep this flu bug at bay! Have a great weekend!

The little boy on this video is truly amazing! This time of year is always hard for me, and my whole family. Losing my brother, saying that final goodbye, is the hardest thing I have ever done. Hearing this today reminds that God had a purpose for Kris!

I am finally sitting down to post some pics! I worked tonight until 10, went and got groceries! And I am still not tired~ wouldn't have anything to do with all that Diet Coke, would it? I can hear the sleet hitting the window right now! The roads were pretty bad when I was driving home! My poor husband is exhausted! He went out to plow at @ 2:15 in the morning came home around 6:45 this morning, changed clothes and trucks, went to work all day. Picked up the boys from Julie's, and had to go plow all of his driveways! I don't think they got home until after 7 tonight! With the way it is coming down, I am sure he will be getting up in a few hours to go back out! Good money for him, but it is wearing!

So anyways, Gavyn had fun at his party!

Grammy (my Mom) got him a new bike! All he keeps talking about is going to Yogi and bringing his bike this next summer! He is going to have a blast camping this year! He loves it Mom!

Before Gavyn's party, Tim and Gav went out to play in the snow! A little while later I hear this tiny knock at the front door! It was Gavyn. "Mom put your snow pants on and come outside to take a ride with me!". It was so cute! How could I resist that sweet little face! To be honest! I had a blast! We all did Tim towed the two of us behind the golf cart! The dogs ran along! Teagyn was sleeping. He always misses all of the fun when he sleeps ;).

For those of you who had asked, Yes! We did finally get the tree up Sunday morning! It looks beautiful! Both of the boys woke up this morning in amazement! I just love to see their precious little faces so full of joy and excitement over so many different things this time of year! I am so truly blessed! I love this time of year, and I LOVE my life!

A weekend, not as planned!!!!

So this weekend turned out good but defiantly did not go as planned!! We were planning to go get/cut down our Christmas tree, get it all beautiful and decorated on Saturday. Have Gavyn's birthday party on Sunday. i had SO much to get done for the weekend and had class on Monday, and work 11-11 Tues, Wed, and Thurs. That left little to no time to get the Christmas decorations out, check for working lights :) and get the house cleaned up. All of this.... and I woke up with the flu Friday morning! Ahhh. I knew it! I helped take care of an elderly gentlemen on Wed night. He was with us for about 7 hrs. I was in and out of his room, he was such a kind man and did not have any kids, his wife had passed away! I just took extra special care of him. I should have worn a mask in there but you get busy and caught up.... you know! I cannot say for sure but a good chance that is where I got it! So instead of getting started on all of my "plans" I slept all day!!1 And I went to bed @ 9:30 Friday night! Saturday I woke up some what better but not 100%. So I mustered it up and went with the boys to get a tree! As the day went on I felt a lot better. Today we did have Gavyn's party! It was nice, we had pizza, an awesome cake (if I do say so myself- I'll post pics later) and ice cream. All was going well and then Tim said that his tummy was hurting! Oh, NO! I hope to God that he does not get this!!! I have to say. For one, it was terrible stomach cramps and body aches! For two, like most men I think, he is such a baby when he gets sick! :) I have a busy week ahead of me more work and my next to LAST (YEAHHHH) class for this semester!

Speaking of which, I have homework to get started on! I had better go! I will post the Birthday pics later! Hope you had a great weekend! ;)

What a busy~ but good weekend!

Where do I start? Thanksgiving was awesome! We had both of my parents, Grandma, brother, Mother and sister in law over for Thanksgiving dinner! It was so nice to have everyone under the same roof! ;) We ate talked and laughed! I had to work 5-11. So had plenty of time to enjoy it! Tim left around 6 to go out west on his hunting trip! My Mom took the boys home with her, to spend the night. That left me all alone after work! YIKES! I have not stayed alone in years! I was not scared per say. Just much more aware of the sounds coming from the basement, if you know what I mean! Normally you don't think twice about those 'normal' sounds. Every time I think I would drift off, I would hear something and POP! My eyes would open right back up! I even got on line and did some cyber shopping for awhile when I got home! I think it had to have been well after 1 before I fell asleep. I had plans to be at Heidi's to pick her up @ 4:30 for some Black Friday shopping. I woke up at 4:25. I called her, said just go, I would catch up with her. I got to the store around 5. It was a MADHOUSE!!!! I was thinking to myself, what on earth was I thinking?! But, no kids no husband just a morning to spend with Heidi. That is very rare for us. So we shopped until our hearts were content! I didn't get home until almost 11! I got so much done! And saved sooo much $! You might hate me but, I am nearly done! An Xbox game for my brother and a gift for my Dad and I am done! Can U believe it? I am proud! I am always the one out shopping just days before Christmas every year. Now I have 3 whole weeks to wrap!

After that I came home and packed up some stuff, headed to Hastings to my Mom's to see my Birthday boy! Gavyn turned 3 on Friday! I cannot believe it! My mom, Grandma, and brother all went to Pizza Hut to have a "Pizza Party" for Gavyn's birthday. I really didn't think that he would/could comprehend that he had not had a birthday party (we are having it this coming weekend). So when I got to my mom's and he asked me where his cake was :( I felt so bad! We spent the night with my Mom and came back late morning on Saturday because I had a girl coming over to have her highlighted.
Sunday, I was really brave and took both boys to church by myself! I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went! Gavyn loves his new Sunday school class! He is in with the "big" kids now. Teagyn is going through this whole separation anxiety thing! UGH! I cannot even take a step away from him without him crying and saying, "Mama, Mama"! Luckily one of my friends was in the nursery and HELD him the whole time! After Church we went all over creation. I had a few gifts to pick up that I had ordered on line! Wish I could share what I got for Tim, but he reads this blog from time to time :( I'll just say that he is going to be blown away! My mother in law and Soraya came over to play for awhile on Sunday afternoon, then we went to my girlfriends daughter's birthday party!

This morning I had anticipated waking up to Tim being home. Nope! I was starting to get nervous, until he finally called @ 7:30 this am and told me that he was STILL in South Dakota! Ahhh~ that was not what I wanted to hear! We are all so ready for Daddy to be home! This is the longest time that Tim and I have ever spent apart! They had car trouble and had to stay an extra night to wait for the tire shop to open up. So now he will be home tonight, but has to drive on these terrible roads, it makes me so nervous! Prayers, please :)

I had my next to last class today for this semester! I am so ready for this semester to be done!!! And to have a nice month long break! Both of my Winter semester classes are on line! THAT makes me so happy! No more driving to Muskegon in this crappy weather! Every semester is one step closer. I have to keep reminding myself of this! Some days I really question if this is the right thing for me to be doing. Working full time and taking classes for my RN!? It is alot to say the very least! But you know! It works! I don't have any idea how- but it does! I know that when I am done I will be so thankful that I stuck it out! I am very excited to work as a nurse in the Emergency! I love the hospital that I work at! It is such a blessing in my life! The people, the rush, the unexpected, the unknown- it all makes for a very exciting career! And to know that I am guaranteed a job when I finish with school is very cool! So one day at a time (as Tim reminds me almost daily), one semester at a time! I CAN do this!

Too busy to even post! Presents to wrap! Food to prepare for Thanksgiving! Get Tim ready to go out west! Work! I am tired even thinking about it all! Gavyn's 3rd birthday is Friday! I CANNOT believe my baby is going to be three! We are having both of our families here for Thanksgiving dinner, I am very excited for this! :) Tim is leaving Thanksgiving night for his annual pheasant hunting trip! So needless to say I had better get work rather than on this computer! Here are the boys! Teagyn got a "big boy" haircut yesterday (in the 2nd picture)! He looks so much older! Love these guys so very much!

Another day to play in the snow...

The only reason I am blogging again is b/c I sat down last night and did 2weeks worth of homework!!! I was pretty impressed with myself. Gavyn and I even got the house all decorated for Christmas this morning! I love it! I love this time of year! It reminds me to be thankful for all of the blessings that I have in my life! And, Guess what? I finally finished up with my Math class! Yeah, I passed my test! One less thing to do! I am all about that! Teagyn had a low grade fever this morning....I think it may be teeth. I hope! None the less I thought some fresh air would do us all some good!

So went outside to play! Teagyn even came out to play with us! He had a bunch of fun, we all did! Last year at this time Teagyn was only about 3 months old. So this morning was his first real experience with snow!

Gavyn wanted to take Teagyn for a ride in the sled! Teagyn loved it. I love this picture they are both laughing so hard, b/c Gavyn fell down!

Gavyn could not believe his eyes when he woke up this morning! He is going to have SOOO much fun this winter! Max and Charlie sounded like a herd of elephants running in the back yard this morning! I think that they were just as excited as Gav! Teagyn was taking a nap- so he missed out on all of the fun :(

This weekend was a beautiful snowy weekend! The boys were both so excited by the big fluffy snow that fell today! Today was an awesome day for us! We went to church this morning- which by the way was an amazing service- and then we went to my mother in laws for dinner with the family! The whole weekend was relaxing and cuddley, is that a word? :) Any way both of these boys have their Daddy wrapped right around their fingers! They will BOTH cuddle with him! Me? Very rarely! How is that? We are the ones who bore them for 10 months! LOL! Gavyn brought out his comforter Sat. night and even both the boys cuddled on the floor together, in between giggles!

I have been contemplating putting up our Christmas decorations this week! I am only hesitant b/c we are hosting Thanksgiving (for both sides of our family's) at our house this year. We will see if I get time! I cannot wait! Tim and I both love this time of year, the decorations, tree, etc! I hope you all have a wonderful week! God Bless!

Hmmm. I am extremely glad that it is the weekend! I have had the longest week! To say the very least! Busy, emotionally draining, hectic- you name it! Today I had my mind set to get up and just try to enjoy the day with the boys! I waited to take a shower (not that I am ever ready really early by any means unless I have to go to work) and just played in the boys' rooms for about an hour! I have been feeling so stressed out that I have not taken any time just enjoy them in quite a few days! So we played and danced- to Itsy bitsy spider, none the less. Woo hoo!
Then we went to McD's for lunch with my friend Heidi and her daughter Jayci! It felt so good to just take the morning and just enjoy what I do have!

And then..... we went grocery shopping!!! AHHH! Seriously, I get so stressed out taking the boys to the store to get groceries! Really it is just Gav (I feel terrible saying that). Teagyn will just sit nice and suck on a sucker, even if it takes me an hour, he is just so patient. Not Gavyn he is running around like a freaking mad man! Talking in a much louder voice than I think appropriate for a grocery store- or anywhere for that matter! Then to top it off I walked away from the cart to grab something off the shelf, mind you a foot away, and Gavyn decides he is going to push Teagyn! He pinched his fingers in between the cart and a fire extinguisher that was on the post in the isle way! The tears came before the heart wrenching cry did, it hurt him so bad! Ugh! It just spiraled downward from there! I just wanted to get out of there! I almost always go and get groceries after I get out of work, but this week I was just not in the mood! It is pretty sad that I would rather go @ 11:30 at night than have to take them along! Whatever! Note to self.... ALWAYS go after work, no matter what my mood is!

We have a pretty blank slate for the weekend! I am good with that! Just to relax, and get some much needed home work done!

I have no pics to post b/c I have not even been in the mood to take any pictures! So maybe this weekend I can work on that!

Yummy brownies....

Today didn't go as planned. No church this morning. Teagyn has got yet another cold! Actually I am not sure if it is just his teeth and then his resportory problems on top of that!? When ever he gets a cold/runny nose~ out comes the nebulizer! So last night he was laying in bed having another coughing spasm! I went in and gave him a neb and that seemed to help alot! It usually only kicks in at night! Poor little guy! So we decided that the nursery would be a good thing today! I was in a baking mood this morning. I had these brownies done and homemade beef stew in the crock pot by 9:30 this morning! Wow- I am motivated today!

So here are the brownies I made today! They are amazing! I have to share the recipe! They are called, Chocolate-Peanut Butter Mallow Bars!

Here is what you need:

1 pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
2/3 cup milk, divided
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 jar (7 oz.) JET-PUFFED Marshmallow Creme
1/2 cup PLANTERS Salted Peanuts
6 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, coarsely chopped

Now to make it:

HEAT oven to 350°F. Mix dry cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup milk until blended; press 2/3 onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Bake 12 to 14 min. or until center is almost set; cool 3 min. Meanwhile, mix peanut butter and remaining milk.
SPREAD peanut butter mixture onto crust; top with small spoonfuls of the marshmallow creme and remaining cake mixture. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate; press gently into cake mixture.
BAKE 18 min. or just until center is set. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

So earlier this week I got to Julies to pick the boys up after class and Gavyn is decked out in this Superman costume. He wanted to wear it home, Julie didn't mind. So later with his Superman still on he asked me if he could shave. "My face has pokeys like Daddy's". How could I resist! He is hilarious! I had to pry it off him to put jammie's on! :) He cracks me up!

This is my weekend off and I am loving it! The boys and I went and got some Christmas shopping done this morning. Tim and I cleaned out the garage and got the patio table and chairs put away. We have had a very productive weekend. Tonight Tim was in the mood for Subs-N-More, downtown, so off I went. Any chance to get me out of cooking, I am all about! It was so very good. Teagyn even loved it! Tomorrow is church, and hopefully a nap!! :) I love Sundays!

On a different note. I need to just vent a moment!! Have you ever known someone who seemingly has 2 very different sides to them?? I am just irked by this one that I know.... it is just beyond me how someone can lead this self proclaimed "christian life", be a very decent person at times, turn around, and do very spiteful things- all in one day! I just cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like to lead a life like that. I know enough about Christianity to know that acting like, and truly leading, the walk beside Jesus are two very different things! And in the end, will put you in two very different places!!!

Okay I am done "venting" :) Thanks for the ear! I am off to make my boys some ice cream sundaes! Yum!

Wow, what a long week I have had! I am so happy to have today off! The boys and I are all starting to feel a little better today! Tim called me this am and said he was feeling a little stuffy....here we go again! I figured he would get it! It was inevitable! :( This morning the boys and I went to Target to RETURN teagyn's costume!!! It doesn't fit! Oh NO! Last night my sister in law and took the boys and Soraya to the Outdoor Discovery Center, for their "treats and trails" thing. When we got there we put the kids costumes on and Teagyn's is too small! It is a 2T-3T. I never even thought to try it on him if anything I was thinking it would be a little big! I either have an enormous 1 year old or they sized it wrong! Of course they are pretty much out of all costume's in his size! I think I will go downstairs and pull out Gavyn's Elmo costume from last year- probably a little big but better than nothing, right!?
Anyway, tonight is going to be the perfect night weather wise to be outside! I am so excited. We are going with some friends of ours in their little subdivision so it will be fun!

I have a video of Gav and Tim watching football! Gavyn is a die hard sports fan already! I am in for it! I am not too into any sports! So here it is. Gavyn is saying touchdown a few times and then if you can't understand it, "just missed"! He is a spitfire!

My week....

So in the last post I mentioned that I had a busy week! Well, it was busy and chaotic! To strart it off, Sunday night Teagyn's cold became absoultly terrible! He couldn't breath or suck on his binkie. I strated to get a little worried after 2hrs of him coughing relentlessy in his bed. Finally he started to cry b/c he was becoming so frustrated. I gave him a neb tx before bed, one when he began to cry along with some benedryl and motrin. All with no relief! His cough started to sound a little bit like croup so I took him in the bathroom with a steamy shower and then took him outside to get some cool air. Nothing. I finally called work and talked to one of the docs, he listened to him through the phone and said he would take a look at him if I wanted to bring him in but try to sit outside for about 20 - 25 mins, first. So at 1:30 in the morning there Teague and I sat outside for 25 mins! I took some books and his blankie out with us. He actually did really good and sounded somewhat better I made him a bottle and put him back to bed. I finally got to bed around 3:00! Monday I had class, then off to work untill 11:00. I was on my way home- the same route I always take. I look in my rearview mirror and see lights! The red and blue kind! I thought I know I am not speeding I just went through the stop sign back there! So I ask the officer if I can help him when he gets to my window. He asked me if I saw the stop sign back there?. "Yes I saw it, this is the way I always take home from work". Officer, "Well you didn't stop at it." I was so darn tired and stressed with other things weighing on my mind as well, that apparently I slowed down but went right through it!! I sat there waiting for him to return to my car with a ticket. Much to my surprise, he let me off! I could not believe it! It gets better! So Tuesday night I was at work, again. I went to the Triage door and guess who was bringing in a pt??? You guessed it the same officer that pulled me over. We both started cracking up laughing! It was really quite funny!

To continue the rest of my week I had to work Wednesday as well, I stopped to get groceries on my way home. I always shop at Meijer. That night I decided to stop at Walmart, it is right on my way home and some say it is cheaper. So I went there, dead tired from my week, but it is better than bringing the boys with me! I waited in line- one of the many reasons I never go there- when I finally got up to the register for my turn and the cashier, who was a manager, asked, "Are you in a hurry?" I said,"not really why?" She then asked me if I minded waiting for 4 minutes!!!! Because it was 4 mins to midnight, and they change drawers at 12:00. I could not believe she had the gull to ask me to stand there for 4 minutes- what are we going to do? Make small talk? I told her that I had just finished working a 12 hr shift, and that I would really like to get home, I was tired! She said "okay" sort of pissed off and began ringing up my groceries! Can you believe it??? That is why I don't go to Walmart!

So today is Saturday, and I can honestly say that I have not left my house since I got home from work/getting groceries on Wednesday night! It feels so good! I only wish that I felt a little better and had gotten some more stuff done around here. in the mix of all of this stuff I have come down with the boys cold too! Lovely! Okay I am done now! ;)

I gave Teagyn a haircut this morning- he looks so cute! I am still trying to even it out from his brothers hair cut he gave him, LOL!

This feels like deja vu all over again....Teagyn does all of the same things that Gav did! Even playing in toilet water lately! YUCK!

This my friends, is just plain bribery!!!!!!

Actually these pictures are from last Sunday. I have had such a busy week, that I haven't had time to do much of anything. Gavyn had alot of fun carving pumpkins. Last year he wouldn't have a thing to do with the yucky's on the inside. This year he was all about it! Teagyn enjoyed playing his new little game of hugging the pumpkin (as he does everything right now) and throwing it on the floor for me to pick up. ;) Tim and I had just as much fun I think. We both get into this holiday stuff!

Earlier this week Gavyn and I made cupcakes for him to take to Julie's -daycare. We had so much fun, I was surprised at how well he did helping! He frosted and put sprinkles on all by himself. And much to my surprise, there was a minimal amount of cleaning up! Note the very bottom middle picture.... Gav has underwear on, Yaaayyy! He has been going to the bathroom, ALOT! It is all of his own doing. He decided he was ready to wear his 'Thomas' underwear and just go! There have been a few accidents, I assure you but a good try none the less! Yesterday morning Tim and Gavyn went for a golfcart ride down to the neighbor's. Tim noticed after some time that Gavyn was walking funny, he looked at his pants to find that they were soaking wet! So they headed home- mind you it was pretty chili- he was crying his little eyes out both from being cold and I think a little embarresed. Poor guy!

Well I should go, busy day ahead. Dinner at my Mother in law's @ noon. Then Tim's Dad & his wife Tammi are stopping by for a while this afternoon.

Well after a very busy last 4 days. I am so happy to have today off, from work and school! It was such a bummer to have to be inside working this whole past weekend! The weather was so beautiful- from what I heard! The boys stayed the night with my mother in law on Saturday, I dropped them off on my way to work in the morning. Sunday we went to our friends Alex and Jen's daughter's, Lenah, Baptism. I cannot tell you how wierd it was for us to wake up, (at almost nine, omgosh!) take showers and just walk right out the door for church/baptism. No diaper bag, no hurrying little one's out the door or arguing about which shoes Gav wants to wear, the fight we have on our hands with nursery @ church, etc. Just Tim and I sitting through church able to fully enjoy our coffee and the service! I think we both felt like it was a flash back! So I went straight to work from church and Tim picked up the boys. I didn't see them until Monday morning. I was missing them so very much! I have not been away from Teague that long- ever! I had class yesterday afternoon, so today I am just plain thankful to be home with my babies!

However, Gavyn has been difficult to say the least today! He LOVES to try my patience! I do mean loves! He has been in timeout 4-5 times already. He is being so mean to Teagyn! I think if Teague were a little bigger, alot of it would not happen, but Gav is just so rough! He doesn't understand the concept that he is only a baby. (Make that 6, he is in timeout AGAIN as I am typing) Oh and he bit him this morning too. On the fingers! That's 2X in a week! He hasn't ever bit anyone b/f now! I think he is going through a mid life toddler crisis. ;) I hope like most toddler "cycles" this one is short lived.

The whole day has not been terrible. We made halloween cupcakes this morning for Gavyn to take to Julie's (daycare) , for his friends. All we have to do is frost them when he wakes up from his nap and add some sprinkles to the tops. He is very excited! Another good thing...... Gav went pee on the potty again this morning! I am so proud of him! He had to call Tim right away to tell him! I have been rewarding him with Matchbox cars, I think they are doing the trick. He still will NOT wear his big boy undies! He refuses! I think I am going to have to break down and buy him pull-ups!

The boys were having a snack in the "kennel" this morning and they looked so cute, I had to get a pic! Teagyn crawled up the cushions, all by himself, to be next to his brother. He is getting SO big!!

One day last week I came home from work to find these ducks or geese (whatever they are) in our driveway!!! Tim got them "for our pond!" I think he is starting a mini farm around here, lol! I asked him what he planned on doing with them once the cold weather hits and the pond freezes over, since their wings are clipped and the cannot fly. He paused (I don't think he had thought that far ahead) and then said he would probably just have to build them some type of little coop!!! I was thinking oh my goodness, just what we need! A little over four years ago we moved in here just the two of us, and Maddie. Now we have: the two of us, two huge labs, two boys, and..... three ducks! I am afraid of what he will get next! :)

We have a busy weekend ahead of us I have to work all weekend and Tim is working on Saturday too. I think the boys are going to Grandma Kosters to spend the night on Saturday and we have a baptism on Sunday for our friends little girl! Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Pumpkinfest!

My friend Heidi and I took the kids to the Pumpkinfest on Saturday! They had so much fun! I think the petting zoo was their favorite! We went to Franks for lunch- I LOVE their burgers! There is never a dull moment when Gavyn is with. While we were waiting for our food, he blew into the pepper shaker! You can about imagine what kind of mess that was! He screamed so loud! This little diner was so packed, I am sure everyone turned to see what on earth was going on! So I took him into the restroom to try to get the pepper out of his eyes! Oh my goodness! I am sure that it burned his eyes, nose, and mouth so bad! :( Only Gavyn!

A day at Grammy's

Today the boys and I went to my mom's to help her get her house ready for the open house on Saturday. I am afraid that we made more a mess than we helped! Sorry Mom! :( At any rate Gavyn had so much fun as he always does at Grammy's. Great Grandma was there too and sent home a huge batch of chocolate chip cookies, YUM! A funny sidenote, Gavyn often talks about "white Grandma". We have been stumped as to which Grandma, Tim's mom or my mom, is "white Granma" untill today.... he was trying to get great grandma's attn., she was talking so didn't answer right away. Gavyn shouts "WHITE GRANDMA"! On our drive home I has asked him why he calls great grandma white grandma and he pointed to his hair. Of course, why hadn't I put that together my self, she has white hair! LOL! Thais kid cracks me up on a daily basis! He is getting so big! Tonight was the first night I have not worked in what feels like a week, so it was so nice to all have dinner together and just hang out in Gav's room. He has these goofy goggles that he wears around the house (almost everyday) and says,"A'm goin to werk Mom". So tonight I got a pic of him "at work". Look at his ears. :)

Teagyn is saying, "bbvvvroom". He "vrooms" his cars all over the house. It is just ingrained in those little boys from birth!

Max....

So Max is still not home! It has been 3 1/2 days, he has not ever been gone this long! :( I have a feeling that he won't be home .... as I am writing this Tim just called me here at work and said that Max is home! OMGosh Gavyn is going to be ecstatic!!! And guess what?? He has his new necklace on still! I thought that thing would be long gone even if he did return home! Now lets just hope that this new kennel we built holds up to him. Oh, I am so excited!

Not too much new, really. Teagyn is begining to have quite the vocabulary. He is saying "uh oh", "brother", "all done", "mommy", "daddy", "doggie" (along with the ruff ruff sound). He is sooo cute! He is still just as patient as he was the day he was born! I guess it probably comes right along with being the second born. With Gavyn I went to his every beckoning whim! Teagyn just knows that Mommy is busy at the moment and I will get to him as soon as I can.
Gavyn is a handful right now! His listening skills need some work! Not to mention ALOT of patience from Tim and I. Which does not always come easy! He can be down right mean to Teagyn! It frusterates me to no end. I think that he is just at that age and a boy! I can't wait until he is old enough to start karate. He needs some place to put his aggresion! This too shall pass, as my Mom says! :)
I am enjoying my new schedule! I LOVE working every 3rd weekend (so does Tim, as he has both boys)! Our benefits have changed too and that is huge, less cost and more coverage. With gavyn and all of his "accidents" and sutures we need it. He is an accident waiting to happen!
Tim is running a 4 man crew now instead of a two man crew! He likes it. It keeps him out a little later at night but is very good experience for him, I think. Besides the boy is so driven he NEEDS something to do all of the time! Work-aholic! I am not complaining, he is so good to us!
I will get some pics up here as soon as I am done working for the week, after tomorrow, I am off for 6 days! Yeah!!!

Many of you know how hard this has been for my family. I think we have now taken to the grief process to make awareness for young kids to understand that this can happen to them too! The coroner believes that this was quite possibly only the 2nd time he used!!!!

We have been working this weekend. We got ANOTHER dog last week so we needed a better kennel to put 2 dogs in. So we expanded our old kennel. Here are a few pics of last night we dug all of the holes for the posts, it was alot of work. Tim and I finished around midnight! Today a few friends came over and helped him get it all put together. It looks awesome! In the next few weeks we will pour some concrete in the there. The dogs- Max and Charlie- will be living the high life! That is if Max comes home.....again. That's right he took off again! I am ferious! This dog seriously has a driving force to not be tied down. For those of you that don't know we have been having alot of trouble(to say the least) keeping Max home. We paid $75 last week to bail him out of doggie jail! So last night I went to Jenison to pick up a shock collar for Max off from Craig's list. And guess where that shock collar is right now? On Max- who knows where! $80.oo quite possibly right down the drain!! If he comes home without it around his neck, I don't know what I am going to do! He just kills me! You can see the collar in this pic below.

Teagyn had his first OREO cookie tonght. I was shocked at how clean he was about eating it! Gavyn was covered with it when he had his first one .

Tonight, Tim went to meet up with an old High School friend to have a few beers. So, Gavyn and I painted pumpkins. We have quite a few from our garden so why not! I am sure we will be doing this again. He had fun! Note the paint on his lips and teeth, LOL!

Or am I just....weird?! Okay so I am at work tonight and talking with my girls here I was telling them this story: Yesterday morning at breakfast Gavyn, Teagyn and I were sitting at the table eating breakfast when Teagyn shivered. Gavyn giggled and said "Teagyn went pee". A few minutes later Gavyn shivered and said "Gavyn went pee" giggle, giggle. Then he said "Does mom have to go pee?"
The girls here were laughing at me because I told them that I too usually shiver after I have gone "pee". Out of 4 of us I (and my boys) are the only ones who apparently do this. I thought everybody did this! So I know that this is a silly question but is there anyone else? Come on- fess up! :)

I have found some that do this too! I am glad to know that I am not alone (Mary). Speaking of Mary, don't forget your Sunday "project"! I am waiting! :)

I have been so busy between working and school this week. I had to work all weekend, but was able to get someone to cover the last few hours of my shift on Saturday to go to my neice's 2nd birthday party at Collins Park. It was such a beautiful day and the kids had a riot!

So I should have known this day would come, with all of the haircuts Gavyn has seen me do! Yep, that's right, yesterday Gavyn cut Teagyn's hair! AHHHH! I was fearious! I had just cut it on Friday and Teagyn looked so handsome with his new short hair cut! Here are some pics of the damage! :) I know that we will look back someday and laugh and I already am finding some humor in it! I tried to fix it but I am NOT willing to shave it, which is how short Gav cut it so I jsut did the best with what I had, it will just have to grow out! :(

I finally have Gavyn on video singing Kenny Chesney's "Back where I came from". The lyrics he is singing are (and in no particular order): "Back where I come from, its where i'll be when it's said (six) and done". "T.V.'s they were black and white". "paint your name on the water tank". It is hilarious how he try's to be in "tune"! I will cherish this video forever!

So here is a pic Gavyn's sutures! He has said very little about them. I am surprised, I thought he would make a big deal out them, but as you can see he is even wearing his beloved Tigers hat! All in all, he has 2 inside and 5 on the outside. It was a pretty good gash! I didn't really explain what happened in the last post. The boys and I were on our way home from Hastings - the funeral - stopped off at Walmart real quick for diapers, Gav was running, tripped and fell....into a shelf, head first! Viola.... a nice big gash! :(

Teagyn- he looks like this almost every minute of EVERY day!

About a month ago I put together this chart that was meant to be a motivator for Gav to 1. be nice to Teague 2. brush his teeth morning and night 3. pick up toys. Every night at bed time he gets to put a stickerr on the chart. If at the end of a two week period he has all or at least most sticker's, we go to target and he gets to pick out a toy of his choice (within reason)! I cannot believe what a difference it has made in his behavior! So this week Gavyn picked out this semi.

Today is such a rainy day and I love it! I love, love, love the rain. Tim thinks I am crazy! Hope you are enjoying the rain too!

Emotionally drained.....

Today, I had to go to a funeral for my 17 year old cousin, Michael Meek. I am humbled by the day right now for many reasons. The amount of teenagers that were at this service was overwhelming! There came a point in the funeral home when the pastor came to the front before the service started asking that the "kids" come to front, gather around the casket, and have a seat on the floor. Before long there was not a bare spot on the floor in the entire funeral home! The hallways were lined with all of mike's friends sitting and standing all the way out too the door! The service was very touching, the pastor had a lot of encourageing words for all of the young people there. In the sence of where they were at with God! My Grandma Meek stood up ,when the pastor asked that anyone that had someting to share about Mike to please take the time to share, she told of some fun memories she had of and with Mike, then she asked for all of the kids to raise their hands who had asked God into thier hearts, since Michaels death..... almost all of those kids raised their hand (a few days prior to the funeral all of Mike's friends held a candlelight vigil at the skate park where often hung out - the youth pastor from the church where Michael had attended was there and aked that anyonr who wanted to change the path that they were on to say a prayer with him, to ask God into their hearts)!!! I could hardly breath when I saw the flood of hands in the air! You see Mike made a fatal (sp) mistake the night he died, he was "huffing" an inhalant. His Mom found him the next morning unresponsive in his bed when his alarm kept going off! My uncle Matt, Mike's dad, said to me last night when I was home with my family that if he had to sacrifice his son to have even one other child follow christ then he was a lucky person. He definately received more than that today! It was heart wrenching to see all of those kids in so much pain. Not to mention my family, in the last 8 years we have had 4 deaths 3 of them have been sudden accidental and young deaths. We are strong and God is strong! I will follow him ,not always without question in times like this, but he is almighty and I believe that he has reasons for all things! Some day we will al know those reasons and reunited our loved ones!
Sorry if this is all over the place but that is really how my head feels right now as well! I tried to lay in bed tonight and just couldn't shut it off, so here I am pouring it all out to my blog... thanks for listening!
One more thing as if my day cannot get any worse..... after the burial, the boys and I were heading back to Holland from Hastings, I needed diapers so I stoppped at walmart in Hastings, Teagyn was in the cart, Gavyn was walking, we went back got our diapers headed to the front of the store when Gavyn was running tripped and fell, hitting his head on a shelf. I knew from the moment that Ipicked him upit was not good I pried his hand from his head and blood just came gushing out!!!! He has a very large laceration to his head . blood is going everywhere he was freaking I was running to the front of the store when i almost took this lady and her daughter out with my cart! I said, with the most pathetic face I am sure, will you please help me I need papper towels or something! She came right along with me a lady at the checkout was getting it out as soon as she saw all of the blood. I ditched my cart with the diaper box in it at the cash register. This woman followed me out to my jeep with Teagyn put him in his carseat offered to drive us to the hospital so I could hold pressure with the towel to gavyn's head I thanked her told her that I would call my Mom, as I had just left her a few minutes prior to that as we had been at a funeral for my cousin- so I knew she was still in town, I hugged her and said "God bless you for helping me" Got in my jeep and went to the ER. My mom met me there shortly after that. It was dinner time- Teagyn and Gav were hungry, we had had the longest day as it was, no naps for either of the boys, Teagyn was NOT going to sit there so my Mom said I will got to walmart with Teagyn and get you diapers-I only has 1 left! I thanked her she left and returned not even 2 minutes later with a box of diapers. You can imagine the look I gave her she couldn't have possibly gone and been back. She looked at me and said the lady that helped you at Walmart dropped these off here for you at the front desk......for the second time in one day I was breathless! I am truly blessed to have that woman's help, and I don't even know her name......

In the last few weeks slowly Teagyn has been taking more and more steps! Soon he will be all over the place- the fun begins:) It is amazing how fast kids learn. Last Friday my mom kept the boys over night so Tim and I could have a much needed night out. We had such a nice night, we went to the Currah downtown walked all down 8th street (there is something so nostalgic about that place to me) stopped off at Ben and Jerry's for some ice cream. Then went to Logan's and ran into some friends that we had not seen in about a year, it was so nice to hang out and catch up with them! So on Saterday when I went to Hastings to pick up the boys, they were outside with my Mom and Grandma, and much to my surprise Teagyn walked about 8 or 9 steps to me! Overnight, just like that.

Then there is the wild man. This face says it all about Gav! He is C-R-A-Z-Y, in every aspect of the word. No fear! I love this pic.

Camping at Yogi Bear!

We went camping last wednesday through Sunday at Yogi Bear in Grand Haven! We had a blast! We camped with some friends of ours and their girls too! All of the kids did so good! The first night Gav and Teagyn both woke up in the night. Gavyn because he heard the train "cho choing" and it scared him, (I reassured him that the train is just carring boxes of food to meijer's to drop it off- and it worked) the next night he woke up but didn't cry! I think Teagyn was just plain scared to death when he woke up in unfamiliar surroundings! But after that night they both slept awesome! It rained, and I do mean rained, on Saturday it was quite boring sitting under the awning for about 2 hours especially with Teagyn all he wanted to do was get down and crawl in the mud! So that was a bit challenging but we got through it!

Each morning we would go down to the pavillion, where Boo Boo Bear comes out, and all of the kids follow him over to the flag pole to say the pledge of alligance, and raise the flag! Followed by hugs of course! I think we swam at least twice a day! All of the kids loved the pool! It was heated and oh so warm! Relaxing campfires at night, good food! It was so nice to get away- even though we werent too far away! I love to only have a 15 minute ride home to get everthing unpacked! I even finished up the last load of laundry this morning, already! Good friends- good times! Here are some pics from the weekend! I can't wait to back next year!

Well to sum it up..... we had a good weekend! Nothing spectacular just a good weekend. We went to Billy and Heidi's Friday night for a cookout, my Dad came to visit over night Sat. (he is from Manton), took a nice long nap on sat while the boys slept, had a sunday roast for dinner, layed in the sun, went to the store... by myself to get a few groceries. Just one of those refreshing weekends that I have not had in a long time! I got a few cute pics of the boys too! And guess where they are playing, the landscaping rocks, where else! LOL!

OMGosh, tomorrow my baby is going to be 1! Can you believe it? It sounds so cliche to say, but it has gone by so fast. It seems like it was only yesterday that we at the hospital! I cannot believe how much they grow in just one years time! Just this week Teagyn is standing alot on his own AND walked 3 steps to me yesterday!! So the bad news... I have to work on Wednesday 12 hrs : ( ! I am so bummed. I know, he has no idea. It isn't that big of a deal really, I am just bummed (did I mention I am bummed?)! So we are having a little birthday party for him on Thursday night.

Last night Gavyn......... WENT PEE PEE ON THE POTTY!!!! For the first time ever! I was so surprised he went, and he was embaressed! I am so proud of him! Tim said I made too big of a deal about it and got him all embaressed, typical mom. LOL! At any rate, with any luck we are on the path to only 1 child in diapers! That would be so nice!

Gavyn's Fish

Last night Tim took Gavyn fishing at a little fishing hole by our house. Gavyn caught 2 fish! Even bigger than Daddy's! Gavyn came running inthe door around the couch, yelling "mommy I caught 2 fish". With his hand held up, all five fingers in the air with 2 fingers to the side, trying to show me 2! It was so cute! These are memories that he will have forever! I am so blessed that Tim is the Dad that he his. He love se to do these things with Gavyn. My boys are lucky little guys to have such an awesome Dad!

The boys are both getting so big. Gavyn has finally begun to round out his TERRIBLE two's, I think. It happened pretty much overnight! I am not sure exactly how or why, maybe all of the praying I did finally paid off, but I am so thankful! I feel like I can actually enjoy him again. Doesn't that sound awful!? But if you know me/him you know some of the "terribles" in terrible twos I am talking about, LOL! Gavyn is really into coloring right now . so when we went grocery shopping we got a pencil box for his markers and crayons- he loves it! It is nice to have something for him to do independantly. Even if it only for a few minutes!

The picture below is a pic of my beautiful flowers that Gavyn picked for me. Almost daily he will come inside with weeds (literally roots and all) with the most angelic face saying," here mommy I pick these for you"! The most precious words I have ever heard!

Teagyn is standing for a short amount of time, solo! He want's to walk in the worst way! He has gotten very opinionated in the last week. Whenever Gavyn eats he wants a snack as well. That too is getting easier. He is eating "people" food now for the most part. Here is a pic in Teag's fav new spot! Yep, the landscaping rocks. If you remove him from that spot he will scream, it is really funny!

Here are a few pics from our Family pictures that we had taken. They turned out so good. Jessica from, jessicafaithphotography.com took them and did an amazing job! We are all doing good. Gavyn is talking like nobody's business, full sentences. Teagyn is very close to walking- can't believe that he will be a year August 6th. Tim is busy as always. He picked up a side job so this will consume him for the next week- but the money is worth it! I have 1 more test and 2 labs, then my final exam and I am DONE with the class that I am taking. Then off for a month untill fall semester starts.
We have camping plans in a month with the Vandenberg's at Yogi in a month. We are all so looking forward to it- especially Gavyn! And I will be going down to Indiana to meet up with my best frind from New York for a few days. That about wraps up our summer "plans".

I'm back

I have not been to my blog in quite some time! SO busy with school work now- and summer, summer spells out busyness to me. I love the warmth of summer! Gavyn is unstoppable from going out that door every morning. Where ever Gav goes outside- so does his Tonka truck! He is so cute.

Teagyn is crawling. It only took him 9 1/2 months to get it down, LOL. He is such a big boy. @ his 10 month appt. he weighed 25lbs. Healthy none the less.

Tim is staying busy with work, has been is E. Lansing for the past few weeks but thankfully that is over now. Still not in Holland, but closer to home. I always get all worked up when he is away. I know it sounds silly but being home alone in that big house with just the boys and I there can be scary. I would like to think that Max would protect us should someone come around, but Max is such a wanderer that who knows where he is half the time.

With all of the rain we had this past weekend, our basement flooded. It is so tough to have to throw all of that stuff away that was ruined. Tim and his Mom worked so had are vacuuming up all of the water (about 1 in.), as I was scheduled to work 10-10. Thankfully, I asked for voluntary on-call and I got it around 7:30. So Tim had quite the day to say the least with both of the boys and the mess. I left all of the windows open down there today so hopefully that helped dry up what little water was left. On the bright side... I have a clean basement. It so desperately needed to be sorted through and cob webs cleaned out so that hopefully sometime in the near future we can get that area finished.

Well, now that I have you up to date... I will try once again to "keep up" on it! Enjoy the beautiful day!

First off here are a couple of cute new pics! We got a seat for the tub so the boys could take a bath together! And my Mother in law got a new puppy "Roxy" is her name, she is adorable and Gavyn LOVES her, of course!

Haven't been on here in awhile. We have been so busy and I have worked alot recently! The boys are getting better, I think. Tim called me at work tonight to find out where the Motrin was because Gavyn had a temp 101.0. So I guess we will see what tomorrow brings!

Tim is back to work this week. So back to the usual! My Birthday is coming up this weekend, not really a big thing to me. I don't freak about getting older, or celebrating it either, just another day! Maybe we will go out to dinner or something.

This past week my baby started sitting all on his own. I am sort of heartbroken!! He holds his own bottle (if I let him) LOL! This time around the growing up things seem to happen so much faster than they did with Gav! So anyways, I took a pic of my "BIG" boy!

We took Gavyn to Chuck E Cheeses one night last week. Just to get out of the house and for him play games for an hour. He had fun, they won alot of tickets. Tim won 200 off from one game! So Gavyn got alot of little toys to add to the collection (by the collection, I mean the bottom of the toy box) Ha!Be back soon with new pics.

This week has been such a busy week for me (us)!!!! I have worked EVERY day since last Sat.! I has a CPR class this morning @8:00 and my eval. at the Hostital after that. I was a little nervous for it, but not for good reason. Just the fact that 2 other people in our Dept. were asked to fill out an evaluation ON ME!!! All is well, infact outstanding! My boss had not had one single negative comment on me, since I started at the hospital! So very good news! He said he was impressed to say the least. That always makes you feel good. I had also applied for a job in our Mod B unit, and got "official" word that I did get that job. Very exciting!

Tiim has helped out tremendously this week. It is a god send that he is home right now! The boys are both getting better everyday! Wraspy little voices and a cough are about all that is left!

Both of the boys are going to have a sleepover with my Mom tomorrow night, so we are having a "couples night out" with our friends! I- we are SO excited to get out! Love my babies more than anything in this world, but am just in need of a nice dinner out, with good friends! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, enjoy the sunshine!!!!!

So Teagyn is still sick. Low grade fever and only eating 4 oz at a time. But he is starting to act more like himself! That is good news , LOVE that littlle smile of his and I deeply missed it!!!! Gavyn is coming down witha cold, which I expected would happen. If he comes in contact with sickness, he gets it for some reason.

Tim got laid off from work starting today! This will be interesting. He has never ,not been at work, can we say WORKAHOLIC! But....... he vaccumed the whole house for me, picked up, made the bed! Gave Gav a shower! May not be so bad! It is only for a few weeks. So we will enjoy it while we can.

I have a long week ahead of me I worked Sat., & Sun. at the Hospital. I am working at the salon tonight to make up for last Thurs. (Teagyn was so sick that I had to reschedule all of my appt's to tonight.) I am at the Hospital Tues. & Wed., Salon Thurs., Hospital CPR class on Friday for 4 hrs. then we have an appt. to get our taxes done on Friday night! I get so worked up when things get this busy!

Well I hear Gavyn up and around in his room, it is nap time, so I have to go BUST him. LOL!
